Waxing is one of the most commonly used hair removal techniques used by the women all around the world. It’s a sort of semi-permanent hair removal system wherein wax is applied over the skin and then stripped off along with the hair to give you baby soft, silky and smooth skin.
Which Skin-Area Can Be Waxed?
Through the waxing technique the unwanted hair are pulled out from the roots and therefore they are less likely to re-grow soon. Virtually all skin areas can be waxed so as to get them rid of those ugly looking strands. However, the waxes and waxing techniques may be different for every skin area.
Common Ways To Wax
There are three common ways of waxing—strip waxing, hard waxing and cold waxing.
In the strip waxing, a thin layer of wax is applied over a particular skin area and then a special paper or a little piece of cloth is pressed over it firmly. The paper/cloth is thereafter ripped off quickly in the direction opposite to the hair-growth, removing both wax as well as the unwanted hair.
In the hard waxing, wax is warmed up and spreader thickly over the skin without paper or cloth strips. The wax turns harder as it cools down, letting you rip it off the skin easily. It’s an ideal way of waxing if you’ve sensitive skin.
Alternatively, a cold wax can also be used. As its name suggests, cold wax techniques doesn’t involve warming up of the wax before use as it is already attached to a removal strip. The rest of the process is same like hard wax.
